Covers doujinshi, games and goods with adult content — for example R18 doujinshi, adult visual novel.
| Service | Can it ship? | What the published rules say | Total if it ships |
|---|---|---|---|
| Neokyo | Yes | “CHINESE MAINLAND, HONG KONG, SAUDI ARABIA — Item related to pornography (Books, Video game, Figure, Bed sheets…)” Neokyo names Hong Kong specifically, so adult material cannot be sent there through them. Fine for the other destinations. Child sexual abuse material, and adult items depicting minors, are banned worldwide. | ¥16,850 |
| Buyee | With conditions | “Obscene Articles” "Obscene Articles" is listed as prohibited, but Buyee does not define where ordinary R18 doujinshi falls. Judged case by case at the warehouse. | ¥16,500 |
| ZenMarket | With conditions | “Any illegal adult products, violence encouraging products etc” Only "illegal" adult products are named. Ordinary R18 material is not addressed, and "Any other items defined as inappropriate by ZenMarket" leaves the decision with them. | ¥17,409 |
| Doorzo | No | “Items with obscene content or adult products” | — |
| FROM JAPAN | No | “Prohibited Items Banned or Regulated for Export by Japanese Law: Adult goods and pornography” FROM JAPAN is the only one of the four that bans adult material outright, for every destination. | — |

Doorzo and FROM JAPAN and Neokyo refuse adult doujinshi on this route specifically. This is the company's own policy rather than a postal rule, so a different service may still accept it.
What you lose if it is refused
With FROM JAPAN, Buyee, ZenMarket and Doorzo, this is the money at risk on a ¥10,000 Yahoo! Auctions win if the item is turned away at the warehouse. It has already been spent by the time anyone looks inside the box.
| Service | Its rule | Already spent | Disposal charge |
|---|---|---|---|
| FROM JAPAN | Refused | ¥11,200 | not published |
| Buyee | With conditions | ¥11,200 | not published |
| ZenMarket | With conditions | ¥11,500 | ¥300 per kg plus ¥1,000 per 15 minutes |
| Neokyo | Ships | ¥11,050 | not published |
| Doorzo | Refused | ¥11,000 | not published |
"Already spent" is the item, ¥700 of postage inside Japan and the service fee. International postage is not included because the parcel never ships.
Why this matters before you bid
A proxy will happily accept the order and buy the item for you. The refusal happens later, when the parcel reaches their warehouse and is inspected. At that point you have already paid for the goods, the domestic shipping inside Japan and the service fee, and none of it comes back. The item is disposed of or returned to the seller at your cost.
On the ¥10,000 order priced above that is ¥11,050 gone before the parcel ever leaves Japan — the item, ¥700 of domestic postage and the service fee — with disposal charged on top at some services. The international postage is the only part you save, because the parcel never ships. It is the one mistake on this site that costs you the whole purchase rather than a few hundred yen of margin.
Rules checked against each company's own prohibited-items page on 2026-10-05. Where a company publishes nothing on a category we say so rather than guessing.
